1. Install EchoFlow
Download the APK and open the app. No EchoFlow account is required.
2. Choose a provider
- OpenRouter — easiest way to access many models with one key (details)
- OpenAI — GPT models with your OpenAI API key
- Anthropic — Claude with your Anthropic key
- Google AI — Gemini with your Google API key
- Custom URL — Ollama, LM Studio, self-hosted
3. Add your key in Settings
Open Settings → Providers, paste your key, and save. Keys remain on your device.
4. Pick models
Browse the model directory or add custom model IDs. See multi-model workflows.
Cost tips
A pay-as-you-go AI chat app rewards model choice: use smaller models for drafts, frontier models for hard tasks. Free models on OpenRouter can reduce cost for experimentation.
Common questions
- What does BYOK mean?
- BYOK means bring your own API key (or bring your own key). You supply credentials from OpenRouter, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or other providers instead of paying EchoFlow a subscription.
- Where is my key stored?
- On your Android device. EchoFlow does not require an account. Cloud providers process prompts you send to their models.
